ANN NASH


A Chartered Quantity Surveyor and a Fellow of the RICS, Ann Nash is a consultant of gb2 with over 35 years' experience advising on engineering and building projects around the world.

 

Ann trained and qualified in private quantity surveying practices. She has spent a large part of her career as a project quantity surveyor becoming experienced in practice and procedure, methods of procurement, tendering, contract administration and cost management.
 

Over the last 15 years Ann has specialised in providing quantity surveying, contract and commercial advice. She has acted as an independent expert on numerous occasions, applying her traditional quantity surveying skills in the forensic examination of a wide range of engineering and construction projects within the field of expert examination. She has acted for both claimant and defendant/respondent and testified in the High Court (UK) Technology and Construction Court (TCC), at International Arbitration, and ADR 'hearings' including adjudication, mediation and expert determination.
 

Ann’s experience includes:
 

  • International Arbitration, new solar power plant Middle East: multi-million US Dollar claim and counterclaim including valuation of variations, delay and disruption and counterclaim for costs to complete the works;

  • International Arbitration, geothermal well-field Middle East: valuation of the final account including variations;

  • International Arbitration, new international university campus: valuation of final account with numerous multi-million high value claims for variations, delay and disruption;

  • International Arbitration, new airport terminal Middle East: multi-million high value claims for variations;

  • International Arbitration, port facilities, Middle East: multi-million US dollar claim in connection with costs of suspension, delays, loss of profit and wasted materials;

  • TCC, energy from waste power plant: multi-million sterling claim valuation for costs to complete the works following termination of the main contract.

  • TCC, gas fired power station: valuation of multi-million sterling final account including claims for delay and disruption;

  • TCC, low-rise residential development: multi-million sterling claim for damages based on the value of rectification of design and construction defects;

  • TCC, high-rise residential development: multi-million sterling claim for damages based on the value of rectification of design and construction defects;

  • TCC, high-rise mixed-use commercial/residential development: multimillion sterling claim for damages based on the cost of rectification of significant design defects
