  • Performed contract advisory roles, and has been the lead assistant in complex disputes, supporting Quantum Experts in ICC arbitrations and in the UK courts.

HENRY WHITTEN

Henry is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 15 years’ experience in the construction industry. The majority of Henry’s experience has been with a top tier UK main contractor from Graduate QS through to Area Commercial Manager. 

 

Henry is dedicated and self-motivated with a strong understanding of commercial, financial and contractual management and proven delivery of projects across a variety of sectors.

 

Key qualities include excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients and cost consultants, and strong analytical, contractual, and leadership abilities gained through various positions held at pre-construction and delivery stages of a project.  Henry is experienced and knowledgeable in bespoke, NEC and JCT contracts.

Henry's experience includes:

 

  • Henry has been responsible for commercial management on a number of projects. He has advised on contract terms and risk exposure, and has priced numerous projects in a main contracting environment. Henry has been commercial lead on a number of projects during all stages of the project lifecycle.

  • Henry has carried out detailed investigations into price and cost based claims, and has had recent experience of carrying out actual cost audits on live and completed projects.

  • Assessment of delay, disruption and variation claims.

  • Valuation of works at suspension, including evaluation of contract works, variations, repatriation, and loss and damage.
