MARK PIERI

 

Mark Pieri is a Senior Consultant of gb2, he is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 11 years’ experience in the Construction Industry.  Mark’s industry experience has been with a top tier UK main contractor where he was employed from a Trainee to Senior QS level.

 

Mark has a well-rounded experience of the industry, spanning different stages of construction from pre-contract through to project delivery and post completion.  This experience is spread across a variety of different industry sectors (including Education, Healthcare, Retail and Infrastructure) on both large and small value building Contracts. 

 

Mark has experience of working with various forms of contract and methods of procurement including the JCT suite of Contracts, NEC2 and NEC3, PFI, design and build, traditional bills of quantities and bespoke forms of contract.

Mark’s range of experience has given him a keen awareness of the commercial aspects relating to the tender and delivery of construction projects, tendering, programme, procurement, variation/change control, value engineering and cost reporting.  Mark has assisted Lead Experts in forensic analysis and assessment of different types of heads of claim in legal arbitration cases, including variation claims and re-measurement exercises.

• International Arbitration, University Campus, Middle East; multi-million dollar claim for acceleration and prolongation, variations, counterclaims and re-measurement of original Contract works.

• International Arbitration, Jack Up Drilling Rig, Central Asia; multi-million dollar claim relating to numerous high value change orders and prolongation costs.

• TCC, Residential Property, UK; multi-million sterling insurance claim relating to defects on a completed residential development.
