SETH BELL​

Seth is a registered professional engineering geologist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) with over 12 years of experience in geotechnical surveys for oil and gas, mining, and infrastructure projects. Seth successfully managed and delivered a variety of large geotechnical surveys for major infrastructure projects across the African continent including South Africa, DRC, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Kenya, Guinea, and Liberia.

Coming from a project management and engineering background that enhanced and strengthened his numerical, analytical, and organizational skills, Seth applies this experience to assist delay experts on large complex construction disputes within the United Kingdom and internationally.

​

Seth has over 4 years of experience in the construction disputes and delay industry. He has gained experience in arbitrations for large, complex projects in the UK and Africa and has acted as number 2 to the expert from appointment to hearing.

​

Representative engagements

​

  • Assisted the appointed expert on delay matters in an arbitration in relation to a $400m oil and gas development, including a CPF and pipeline, in Tunisia from expert appointment to hearing.

​

  • Assisted the appointed expert on delay matters in an arbitration in relation to a €300m nuclear steam generator replacement project in South Africa from expert appointment to hearing.

​

  • Assisted the appointed expert on delay matters for pre-dispute advisory on a theatre upgrade in the United Kingdom.

​

  • Assisted the appointed expert on delay matters for pre-dispute advisory on an underground tube station, with associated surrounding offices and retail, upgrade in the United Kingdom.

​

  • Assisted the appointed expert on delay matters for pre-dispute advisory on a railway upgrade in the United Kingdom.

​

  • Assisted the appointed technical expert in a dispute regarding a failed pipeline and slug catcher in an oil and gas development in the Caspian Sea.
