Tremain is a Quantity Surveyor with professional experience in a variety of commercial, civil, retail, residential, aged-care, and education projects within the Australian and UK construction industries.
Knowledgeable in multiple aspects of both pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying, including but not limited to, first principles estimating, cost reporting, superintendent roles, owner’s representative engagements, variation assessments, progress claim assessments, contracts administration, and undertaking a supportive role to appointed expert witness engagements.
With a keen interest in dispute resolution, construction law, and construction claims, Tremain adopts a methodological and meticulous approach to all aspects of analysis performed and takes great pride in his work. Tremain has performed a supportive role to quantum and delay expert appointments for matters relating to adjudication, arbitration, tribunals and litigation.
Areas of Expertise
Tremain has been engaged as a Quantity Surveyor, at both the pre-contract and post-contract phases of projects and has a broad range of experience across the commercial, civil, retail, residential, aged-care, and education sectors.
Tremain is experienced in supporting Superintendent and Owner's Representative appointments. Proficient in administering and assessing provisional sums, variations and progress claims, and compiling all associated written correspondence in the form of contractual notices, certificates and directions.
Quantum Assessment and Analysis
Tremain has been engaged to perform a supportive role to appointed Expert Witnesses on a variety of oil and gas, infrastructure and civil, residential, and commercial disputes, assisting with claims review, research, quantum analysis, take-offs and quantification.
Tremain has experience in the review and assessment of claims for disruption, prolongation, disputed variations, defective works and matters relating to construction disputes arising from distressed projects.
