JOSH MILLS

 

Josh is a Delay Analyst and Chartered Civil Engineer with over 14 years of experience working in the construction industry. He excels in delivering international arbitration standard analysis and written reports.

​

Josh has seven years of experience in Delay Analysis working on international arbitrations, adjudications and claims across a broad range of industries, with a strong focus on the buildings, energy, and transport sectors. Through these projects, he has gained extensive expertise and built lasting relationships with clients and industry professionals.

​

His skills as a Delay Analyst are complemented by industry experience as a Chartered Civil Engineer. Josh started his career with Transport for London (TfL) as a civil engineer and gained experience in design, project management and procurement. Whilst at TfL, he undertook extended secondments at BAM Nuttall as a Site Engineer and at Parsons Brinckerhoff as a Design Engineer. These roles provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the entire project lifecycle and the various roles involved in a construction project.

Completing the Construction Law and Dispute Resolution MSc at King's College University helped further his knowledge and understanding of international law and dispute resolution tools. Josh was honoured to receive the SCL award for the Best Overall Performance amongst a competitive and talented cohort of construction lawyers and industry professionals.

Areas of Expertise

 

Delay Analysis

On international construction disputes, Josh has been Lead Assistant to Expert Witnesses and produced detailed analysis and reports that have been presented in courts and tribunals. He is a skilled communicator that can work efficiently with teams in-person or based remotely.

Josh has led the delay analysis on several construction disputes, reviewing construction programmes and records to determine the critical path and the extent of delay. He is experienced in prospective and retrospective methods of delay analysis. Josh takes a pragmatic approach which enables him to adapt to the available information and records.”
